We chat a bit more and Twenty adds, "I am leaning towards the dogs today. It's Easter Sunday and a lot of people will be watching. The early line appears to be tilted more to the favorites than the wise guys think it should. I will get back to you with my picks and you can post them." It's not uncommon for Twenty dimes, Captain or Riggs to take hours pondering the slightest discrepancies in the daily reports. When the numbers don't match, they pounce! "Look," Twenty adds, "The average Joe can't pick a game to save his life. He eventually realizes it and then my phone starts ringing. Don't get caught up in one pick Tornado. There are literally a million games and races to wager on." (Below) Twenty dimes hard at work on Easter Sunday.

Easter Sunday
Upon arriving at the office today I was confident I would be the first person there. I mean it's 8:00 A.M. on an Easter Sunday, but that's irrelevant in the sports and race world - "Good morning Tornado! It's a beautiful day with lots of winners in store," Captain says. Twenty & Captain are always thinking about the action - "Buddy Hield is awesome Tornado! He's the kind of guy who can put a team on his back and carry them to a title. Sorry to tell you this Tornado, but your Kansas team doesn't have that guy," he concludes.

The Bute meets a legend.
"Bute, this is the one and only Johnny Riggs. Johnny Riggs, this is Bute." Riggs is my mentor, the Bute is a lifelong friend who was in town for the week - "Johnny Riggs," he says as he extends his hand, "I've read all about you. It's an honor to meet a living legend in Las Vegas." Riggs smiles after the compliment, extends his hand to Bute and says, "It's nice meeting you as well. Rob has told me all about you."
He laughs after the statement and adds - "Rob is always blogging about how you're the main man in sin city. I'm glad to finally meet you. It's kind of like meeting a movie star." Bute is the #1 fan of the blog - Riggs is a constant subject in it. "Thank you for the compliment sir," Riggs then adds, "I didn't know what to expect. I mean you're from Kansas. I was assuming all of Rob's friends from Kansas would be whack jobs like him."
Bute laughs intently and adds - "I know exactly what you are saying. But I am hear to tell you he has been a whack job since the day I met him." They both share a hearty laugh as if I wasn't in the room and Riggs says, "Bute - Rob told me you like the action of Las Vegas. I like that in a guy. It's all about the action in life."
I have some good news to share. I was recently hired as an organic growth strategist by Riggs and a colleague of his to work for Sports Consultants of Nevada. A start up company in Las Vegas. I am so excited! From (L to R). Me, Riggs, Twenty dimes & Cappie.
